3 Interns for UNICEF Denmark’s Partnerships Division – Autumn Semester 2026
Are you motivated to contribute to an organization dedicated to protecting and advancing children’s rights? Would you like hands-on experience in international humanitarian affairs, development programs, global advocacy, fundraising, and private sector partnerships? If so, you could be one of the three new interns in UNICEF Denmark’s Partnerships Division for the Autumn Semester of 2026.
About UNICEF Denmark’s Partnerships Division
The Partnerships Division is part of UNICEF Denmark – the Danish National Committee for UNICEF. UNICEF is the world’s leading organization for children, working in more than 190 countries to protect children’s rights, save lives, and help every child reach their full potential — especially in the most challenging contexts worldwide.
UNICEF Denmark plays a vital role in advancing this mission by mobilising support across Denmark. We raise funds, build strong partnerships, and advocate for children’s rights — turning Danish engagement into tangible impact for children around the world. The Partnerships Division collaborates closely with a wide range of actors in the Danish private sector, including large corporations, multinational companies, foundations, and network organisations. These partners are united by a shared commitment to supporting UNICEF’s work and delivering meaningful, lasting results for children globally.
The division consists of three departments: Partnerships Management, Global Programs & Advocacy, and Future Impact (New Business). We are currently seeking one intern for each department
About the Internship
We are looking for three interns for the Autumn Semester 2026 to support activities across the Partnerships Division.
All interns will contribute to:
- Developing case studies, presentations, and other communication materials
- Supporting project management, including maintaining overview documents and tracking progress
- Preparing meetings and drafting summaries
- Supporting emergency response efforts, including fundraising and coordination activities
- Assisting with engagement initiatives targeting key players in the Danish private sector, including event planning and material preparation
In addition, each intern will focus primarily on one of the following areas:
A) Partnership Management
You will support the day-to-day management of existing partnerships, including grant management processes, reporting, meeting documentation, and preparation of presentations and pitches. This role also involves working with data and analysis, so it would be an advantage for this intern to bring some experience with excel and power BI.
B) Global advocacy within Climate and Health
The focus of the Global Programs & Advocacy department is on linking relevant global programs to UNICEF Denmark's fundraising. Through targeted advocacy efforts and partnership communication we generate support and engagement for UNICEF's work for children's rights. Our advocacy focus for the autumn will be within climate issues and you will contribute to our climate policy asks to Danish stakeholders. You will also be part of the coordination, drafting, and finalization of annual reports for a large private sector partnership within the health sector. Furthermore, you will support the coordination and preparation of a Global Health study trip for politicians to a middle-income country.
C) Future Impact (New Business)
The intern will conduct background research and market analysis of Danish companies and foundations to identify potential partnership opportunities. You will assist in strategic outreach, support the development of partnership concepts, and contribute to initiatives designed to maximise impact for children worldwide. You will also support the planning and delivery of prospect engagement activities, such as networking events and roundtable discussions.
